""Can you repeat, you were garbled...""

Posted by Verified Buyer on Dec 17th 2016

Career Firefighter looking for options to better communications. Tried it on low priority and high priority calls and I get the reply from the dispatcher, ""Can you repeat, you were garbled..."" I've tried adjusting the neck microphones and nothing seems to change. I can hear myself on the truck's radio and I think I sound clear, but anytime I use it, no one else can understand me. In addition, the earphone volume isn't very loud. Unless I plug my open ear and try and block out every other sound, I can't hear anyone transmitting very loudly.
