Its a Cairns, but not the same

Posted by Lisbon Fire Department on Jul 1st 2024

I just received a new N6A. This would be my third Cairns leather helmet that I've purchased over my career. I'm not impressed with the quality of the new product. I think the quality control inspection missed out on this one. I have runs in the paint, in some areas I can see through to the leather and a couple of areas where there are dents on the under side of the brim, all this fresh out of the box. Now, It took my a year to receive this helmet, so am I sending it back? Oh hell no! But I can say that this isn't the same quality as a helmet from years past. Worth the new price????

    Been waiting over a year

Ordered 2 of these over a year ago and they still haven’t arrived… I get things being delayed because of Covid and what not but every time I call they push the date back further and further.
