The Lapel Mic is securely attached to your Turnout Coat or Pack Strap. Allows Mic to be securely extended for talking/listening, without the Mic being dislodged / dropped or the need to re-clip after use. 12 oz. retraction force, 20" extension, 60 lbs. breaking strength.

    Exactly a week after receiving the gear keeper we got tonned out to a structure fire, our Scott masks have the voice amplifier and I didn't have to bend my head to talk I just pulled the mic up to my voice box it works well its just every now and then the tab the mic clips to tends to slip out.

    This is a great product. I mount it on the turnout coat storm flap to keep the portable mic high on my chest for quick access during interior operations. I have worn out several of these during my years on the job. The only problem is waiting for the new one to come in the mail!
