Designed for use with mil-spec 1913 Picatinny rail hand guards, the RVG is a basic, lightweight, cost-effective vertical fore grip. Shape is ergonomically designed for use as a traditional vertical grip. It has also been optimized for use with the "thumb break method" of shooting as taught by Magpul Dynamics. Includes a custom-fitted universal mounting rail and all mounting hardware.

Not as Universal Fitting as Stated

I received this grip as a gift. It fits perfect on my Mossberg AR 15-22 and my Smith & Wesson AR 15-22. It's certainly lightweight and an all around great addition for comfortable shooting, (especially for us older guys who still enjoy shooting but don't have the same strength or grip to hold up the heavier AR-15 for any length of time). HOWEVER, it does NOT fit on my new Core AR-15 223/5.56. The Core AR-15 is a relatively new gun on the market which meets or exceeds military and law enforcement specs. so, maybe that has some bearing on the issue. The bottom rail is wider on the Core 15 than it is on my other AR 15-22's. Thus, I'll regift it to my son for him to mount on his Mossberg AR 15-22. I cannot say for certainty that it will not fit other makes or models of AR-15 guns. This is only what I have experienced. But, other than that, it's a great product like all the other Magpul products.
