    Jammed Immediately

Posted by Verified Buyer on Feb 22nd 2014

As soon as I tried to set the combination on this safe it jammed. I called The Fire Store about the problem and was told to call the manufacturer, which I did. When I called the manufacturer I explained what was happening. The manufacturer said it was obviously jammed and to return it to the supplier for replacement or a refund, which I did. I had the safe for less than two days before returning it for credit. I included a letter with the product explaining that I was not happy with the quality of the product and I wanted full credit. A week or so later I called the supplier to check the status of my credit and was told that the product I returned was ""used"" and they had returned it to the manufacturer for evaluation. They said it would take up to 6 weeks to get an answer. I explained that I was not able to use the product at all and I did not understand how they could consider it was ""used"". I then called PayPal for them to protect me in this refund request. I felt that The Fire Store was trying to get out of refunding my money. Still waiting for a resolution.

    Not bad for the price.

Posted by Verified Buyer on Oct 28th 2013

Not a bad safe for the price. I use it for my concealed weapon in my vehicle. Since no weapon should be left unattended, whenever I go in somewhere my weapon doesn't it stays in here. The cable makes it versatile and easy to get to. It seems to be well constructed and pretty heavy duty. Probably not as good as the ones that mount underneath the seat, but if you don't want to drill holes in the floor of your truck, this is the way to go. An experienced thief, or one properly tooled, probably will not be stopped by it, but it will prevent the ole ""smash and grab"" and some young dumb kid from ending up with it.
